The Center for Progress has submitted an application to the Rustavi Municipality. The organization is applying to the Rustavi Municipality City Hall and requesting funding for suspended students.

Access to higher education in Georgia remains a significant challenge, especially in a pandemic, the statement said. According to the NGO, the number of suspended students reached a record high last year and 82,212 students can no longer continue their studies.

The organization says that a similar request was made by the Tbilisi City Hall last year and was funded by both the excellent and the socially vulnerable.
