Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, place rent prices have risen to record highs, especially in the capital, which have been increasing every month. In such conditions, living in Tbilisi from the region is associated with colossal costs for students. In the background of all this, students are forced to suspend their student status, due to which they lose the main right, access to education.
We think that the only solution is to provide accommodation for students, in which all the links of the government and higher educational institutions should be involved.
Since, the role of higher educational institutions in this matter is great, and at the same time, Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University has already expressed its readiness regarding the construction of students dormitories. Regarding this, we addressed  Tbilisi State Medical University and Technical University to find our if they had any agendas on building students’ dormitories.
