Laura Thornton, Head of NDI Georgia Office met with Women Empowerment Network – WEN project participants.

We discussed a number of important issues at the meeting: topics related to women’s rights in Georgia and around the world. Laura Thornton focused on gender equality issues and empowering women in various fields. Also, the stereotypes whose existence negatively affects the professional choice of young girls.

The girls got acquainted with the statistics conducted by NDI. Talks focused on the development of democratic processes in the South Caucasus. Important news for the girls was the intensive training courses conducted by the National Democratic Institute in Tbilisi and various regions.
