“Minimum Wage in Georgia – Problems and Challenges” – a seminar for journalists was initiated by the “Center for Progress”.
On July 24-25, at the initiative of the Center for Progress and with the support of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Georgia, a two-day seminar on “Minimum Wage in Georgia – Problems and Challenges” was held for media representatives.
The seminar was attended by Mariam Kusiani, Lawyer and Project Coordinator of the Center for Progress, Irina Sepherteladze, Project Manager of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Georgia , Chairperson of the Progressive Forum of Georgia, Dimitri Tskitishvili, Chairperson of the Know-How Training Center. Partner, economist Davit Darsavelidze, Chairman of the Georgian Trade Unions Irakli Petriashvili, CRRC Representative Davit Sichinava, Vice President of the Association of Young Financiers and Businessmen Paata Bairakhtari.
The speakers spoke about the problems related to the minimum wage in Georgia and the challenges that restrict the rights of employees to decent wages in our country.
